Further to my previous post about the SRFI Northampton Gateway, I have received an update from SEGRO on the change to their DCO.
SEGRO plan to submit their application to the Planning Inspectorate in mid-July. At the same time they will notify the statutory consultees and general public that they have done so and there will be a consultation period of at least 28 days.
Details of the application will be on the Planning Inspectorate’s website and SEGRO’s own website. I will also keep residents informed.
I attach links to the letter from SEGRO and my reply to them, along with an exchange of letters [my letter, Network Rail reply] I had with Network Rail back in 2017 where they clearly told me the rail link could not be guaranteed. It is clear that Network Rail's fear of a lack of capacity is now coming true, and residents are rightly furious that SEGRO are seeking to amend the DCO. I have made clear my views on this project over many years and I will personally not agree with any change to the planning specification.
